This painting is an abstraction and reflection inspired by a hike in Mt. Rainier which started at Lake Mowich. I felt so much peace and elatedness all at the same time when I visited. It was like real life FernGully. The lake’s name, “Mowich” is derived from the Chinook jargon word meaning deer. It was so clear to me why so many animals like deer would flock to this stunning place.
