Meet Katie
Born and raised in Georgia, I’ve been living and painting in New York City for the past decade. My mother and grandmother instilled in me a love for art from a young age. Painting has been a place of refuge and a place where I can unleash my imagination and see things from a different perspective in vivid color. I have been honing my craft for the past 20 years and has been my biggest life passion. I paint bright abstractions inspired by nature, my surroundings, and personal connections.
I earned a BFA in painting and drawing from the University of Georgia's Lamar Dodd School of Art. My work has been displayed throughout the Southeast and NYC in group and solo exhibitions including Lunula, Brooklyn Perk, Con artist, Bluebird café, The Albany Museum of Art, Green EnvyMadison Artist Guild, The Boys and Girls Club, along with features in publications such as the Albany Chamber of Commerce magazine, South West Living Magazine, Create Magazine, and Visionary Magazine
